For today’s mechanical keyboard review, I am checking out one of the artsiest mechanical keyboard when it comes to keycap design.Today’s review is for the HITIME x XVX M67 Topographic Wired Gaming Keyboard with IMD Tech Keycaps.First and foremost, I am familiar with HITIME and XVX. With XVX, I am familiar with their Great Wave Off Kanagawa keycaps and HITTIME featuring more design-based keyboards utilizing XVX keycaps.It has been several years, but I have to say that I do enjoy any creativity that comes to overall keyboard design. But this time, I think the company really hit it big with their IMD Tech Keycaps.Featured in numerous colors such as black or white, what sets this mechanical keyboard apart is that it has this interesting pattern on the keycaps. And the RGB lights shine bright through them. In fact, there are 2 LED lights under each stabilizer and five LED lights on the space bar.There is lettering on the front side of the keycaps but truth be told, this mechanical keyboard is for those who have memorized the QWERTY keyboard and can type without looking at their fingers.Now, it’s one thing to be a creatively artistic mechanical keyboard, but you have to feature the standards and that it’s hotsweappable and gasket mounted. The other is tri-mode, but this is not a tri-mode keyboard, it’s a wired keyboard.The keyboard also features PCB single key slotting for optimizing stability and making the touches more softer. As for gasket mounted, this mechanical keyboard features four layers of filling silencer. But have no fear, for those loving that thocky sound will like the thock this mechanical keyboard gives.The keyboard features 17 built-in backlight modes, monochrome and full color modes that are easy to change via the FN plus arrow keys.It’s important to note that the keyboard does feature a keycap puller, USB Type-C cable, brush and three extra switches.Last but not least, this keyboard is 65% and features a unique curved body, has a tilt angle of 7 degrees and for the most part, this mechanical keyboard feels good to type on.Again, this is a mechanical keyboard for those who memorized the QWERTY keys, because if you are a person who single strikes and has to look at the letters, this mechanical keyboard is not for you. This is for “HITIME x XVX M67 Topographic Wired Gaming Keyboard with IMD Tech Keycaps, QMK/VIA 60 Percent Keyboard Custom, Creamy Mechanical Keyboard Gasket, RGB Hot Swappable Keyboard, Stellar White(JadeStone) (White)”Price at review time: $59.99 before 15% off coupon.Has some padding to add some weight to the keyboard, giving it a somewhat more premium feel. Padding does help reduce noise vs. a regular keyboard. The black side print legends are readable in both regular and subdued lighting with backlighting on. Shine through is great given the unique design of the keycaps.

A Very Unique Board – RGB, RGB, RGB. I just got my hands on the M67, and wow, this keyboard is baller. The RGB lighting is absolutely wild—it really brings some life to my desk. And it sounds great right out of the box. For boards that really focus on aesthetics, sometimes the sound is overlooked. Not in this case.But, of course, I had to mod it. I can’t leave things alone. I focused on the switches and stabilizers since throwing in a bunch of foam isn’t really the move for a board like this. After some messing around, I got it sounding pretty asmr-ish. Still, I have to say, using it stock was a solid experience too.This keyboard reminds me a lot of my Drop Carina, which I absolutely adore, so that’s definitely a bonus. Now, the keycaps are a bit of a mixed bag for me. I like the overall design, but some of the keycaps—specifically the W, A, S, D, space bar, and arrow keys—are textured, which is kind of weird. I get what they were going for, but for a board that’s mostly about aesthetics, it just seems… strange.That said, I can overlook it because the overall vibe of the board is really cool. It looks great on my desk and sounds fantastic. If you’re looking for a fun keyboard, the M67 is definitely worth checking out.

an amazing impressive keyboard. excellent for gamers. The media could not be loaded. This really is a fantastic keyboard, beyond my expectation considering the price point. The case wasn’t exactly what I expected – it’s sort of an inferior plastic material. For some reason I thought it was frosted acrylic. But I can easily look past it because the RGB is what steals the show. It pairs extremely well with these keycaps that have the shine through topographic (swirly lines). The keycaps itself is a diffuser creating soft on the eyes vibrant colorful lights. It’s rare that I keep a default set of keycaps on the original keyboards I buy. This one is absolutely worth keeping on the keyboard. It’s minimalistic and clean. More than that the quality of them are amazing! The main “gamer” keycaps have the rougher texture to them for feel and grippage I suppose (space bar, wasd, arrow keys, esc) Maybe it was designed that way to last longer as those keys tend to fade out.There’s no flex on the board but it types like a gasket. The sound profile is firm and sort of creamy. It basically sounds nice, better than your average unmodded mechanical keyboards. Pretty satisfied with the performance. Most of the stabs sound stable. Except the backspace so that will need to be tuned. The switches are also better than the stock gaterons you often find in regular mechanical keyboards though it needs to be lubed. I really think this is the perfect keyboard for gamers. At 60% you have the keys you need while saving space on your desk. It has vibrant rgb that won’t distract while gaming instead creating ambiance and mood. It’s wired only so no worries about latency. And the QMK software which is what most modders use because it’s open source. Amazing!!!
